Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Virtuse Group Pte. Ltd., with its operational office in Bratislava, Slovakia, and group headquarters in Singapore ("Virtuse", "we", "us"). For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Virtuse Group Pte. Ltd. is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: support@virtuse.com.

Virtuse is a non-custodial hub for Bitcoin-only services. We do not operate an exchange, hold client funds or keys, open accounts, or perform identity verification (KYC) on this website. When you use a partner service (buying, mining, lending, custody, tax, or trading bots), you contract directly with that partner on their own platform, and that partner is an independent data controller for anything you share with them. This dramatically limits the personal data we ourselves process.

Newsletter email address — if you subscribe to the Virtuse Report, we process the email address you provide, based on your consent. That is the only personal data this website asks you for. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, and we will delete your address from the mailing list.

Usage data — like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure records standard server logs: IP address, browser type and version, pages visited, timestamps, and referring pages. We use these solely for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the site running. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not use this data for advertising.

No account data, no identity documents, no financial or payment information, no wallet addresses, no transaction history. Our free tools (the Bitcoin Data dashboard, Retirement Calculator, Rainbow Chart, BTC Dominance, 200 WMA) run entirely in your browser — the figures you enter into the Retirement Calculator never leave your device.

We process personal data only for: (a) delivering the newsletter you asked for — legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), withdrawable at any time; (b) operating, securing and debugging the website — legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping our service available and safe; and (c) complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) where EU or Slovak law requires it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Virtuse earns referral fees when you sign up with a partner via our links. This works through standard referral URLs — we do not pass your personal data to partners, and partners do not send us your personal data back. At most, partners report aggregate, non-identifying statistics (e.g., number of sign-ups) for commission settlement.

This website itself sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We limit ourselves to what the ePrivacy rules call strictly necessary storage — minimal technical state needed for the site to function (for example, remembering an interface preference). Because we avoid non-essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required for the site as it stands. Should we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your prior consent, per the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR.

You can instruct your browser to refuse or delete cookies at any time via its settings. The site remains fully usable without them.

Some features load content or data directly from third parties. When they do, those providers technically receive your IP address as part of the request, under their own privacy policies: Google Fonts (typefaces), jsDelivr (animation library), WordPress/virtuse.com (blog articles and images — our own service), mempool.space, CoinGecko, and Binance (live, read-only market and network data for our Bitcoin Data tools). These requests carry no identifiers from us — no login, no cookie of ours, nothing beyond what any webpage request contains.

Our pages link to partner platforms (e.g., Kraken, 21bitcoin, ByBit EU, Firefish, Trezor, Ledger, and others) and to press coverage. Once you leave our site, the destination's privacy policy governs. Partners performing regulated services will conduct their own KYC under MiCA and EU anti-money-laundering rules — that data goes to them, never through us. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of every service you sign up for.

Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe or we discontinue the newsletter. Server logs: routinely rotated after a short period (typically 30–90 days) unless needed for an ongoing security investigation or required by law. We keep nothing "just in case".

We are an EU-based operator, but the Virtuse Group is headquartered in Singapore, and some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards of Chapter V GDPR — primarily the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one exists (for example, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified US providers). You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards via the contact below.

If you are in the EEA you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing (Art. 7(3)). Given how little we collect, most requests concern the newsletter — and the unsubscribe link resolves those instantly.

Email support@virtuse.com — we respond within one month, as GDPR requires, and may ask you to verify your identity first. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority; for Slovakia this is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic).

This website is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We apply proportionate technical and organisational measures (TLS everywhere, minimal data collection by design, access controls). No internet transmission is 100% secure — which is one more reason our architecture avoids collecting sensitive data in the first place.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the website or the law evolves. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date; material changes will be flagged prominently on the site or via the newsletter before they take effect.
